Condolence: i never knew scott personally, but i knew his daughter, kj, and her great love for him. i learned more about God through kj's stories of her father admittedly than i did about her earthly father, perhaps because the two were always so inextricably linked by kj's prayerful petitions. it was an honor to pray for him and a pleasure to hear kj's testimony of God's abundant grace, even in the face of great adversity. God is good, thank you kj.

Condolence: Celebrating Uncle Scott is easy. Uncle Scott was inspirational with his abundant, youthful and exuberant energy. The man was riding bicycles around more parts of this country and over mountain passes way before it was fashionable or popular! He was constantly on the go either doing what he was passionate about at the time or looking for something new. Uncle Scott's favorite word was "YES". I will always remember that and he said it all the time. I think he liked the word because he was open to new things, new ideas and most of all new possibilities. Uncle Scott indulged in the best of things... Learning, nature, exercise, loving and life. He knew that saying "No" would not get him anywhere. "Yes" was a much better choice. Have you ever received a card from Uncle Scott? You know, a birthday card or Christmas card. You knew right away that it was from him by the style, care and detail he put into writing something on the card. He put big letters, bold letters, small letters, letters with style. He wanted you to know that he cared. And care he did. Uncle Scott inspired me, and he still inspires me to be open to new possibilities, energetic to chase ideas and to pursue love and life to it's fullest.

Condolence: Kristin, I keep thinking, "What a wonderful way for your father to go to heaven: holding your hand while you sang to him. May God bless you and all your family with the peace that passes all understanding, as only He can do! No doubt, heaven will be sweeter just knowing he's there.
