Obituary for William "Bill" Lavender

William L. Lavender, son of Genevieve Lavender, was born march 15, 1945 at Webster City. He attended Webster City schools. In 1963, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served in the National Securities Division and was stationed in the Philippines. On March 27, 1970, he married Sandra Helton at South Dakota. The couple resided at Webster City, where he was employed at Electrolux for 43 years. He retired in 2006. Bill is survived by his wife, Sandy; daughter, Laurie Lavender, Webster City; sons Keith Lavender, Webster City; Rob Lavender and fiance, Rachel Wederquist of Fort Dodge; grandchildren, Beau; Lacey; Dakotah; Harli and Shelby; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother in 1976; sister, Mary Sorenson and nephew, Trent Sorenson.
