Obituary for Wayne Keller

Wayne Keller, 93, a longtime Blairsburg area farmer, died Friday, April 4, 2008 at the Wright Medical Center at Clarion. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Missionary Alliance Church at Blairsburg, with Rev. John Berglund officiating. Burial will be in the French Cemetery, east of Woolstock. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and at the church after 11:00 a.m. Wednesday. Wayne Arthur Keller, son of Robert and Clara Wehrle Keller, was born March 1, 1915 on a farm west of Alden. He attended rural schools and graduated from Blairsburg Public School in 1936. On January 31, 1953, he married Esther Elnora Schnittjer at the Little Brown Church at Nashua. The couple farmed north of Blairsburg. He had farmed for 70 plus years and enjoyed hobbies of fishing, hunting and growing melon. Wayne is survived by his wife, Esther; sons, Mel Keller of Blairsburg and Gary Keller and wife, Debra, of Clarion; grandchildren, Amy, Emily and Andrew Keller; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Lilly Gade, Goldie Keller, Ada Poland, Daisy Lindberg and Clara Clark; brothers, Oscar, Ernest, Lee and Joe Keller.
