Obituary for Virginia Iva Gourley

Virginia Gourley, of Webster City, died on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center, with Rev. Jeff Flagg officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday. Virginia Iva Anderson was born August 8, 1932 in Mankato, MN, the daughter of Victor and Freda Martin Anderson. She graduated from Webster City High School. On January 26, 1952 she married Don Gourley at Fort Dodge. The couple resided in Webster City. In 1955, they moved to Dows and in 1960 to a farm south of Webster City. Don preceded her in death on February 8, 2011. Survivors include, son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Dennis and Rhonda Gourley of New Braunfels, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Jacquelin Kae and Timothy Wilson of Auburn, WA; grandchildren, John and Paige Gourley of Carlsbad, CA, Matthew and Jessica Gourley of Ballwin, MO; great-grandchildren, Jack Evan and Eve Marie Gourley; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gary and Georgianna Gourley of Webster City, Dr. Lynn and Ellie Gourley of Starksville, MS; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Carmen Anderson; half brothers, Chuck Anderson, Ronald "Ronnie" Anderson and Kenneth Anderson.
