Julie Picht Barton

We are so sorry to learn of Vicki's passing. She was a wonderful lady. Always smiling, friendly, helpful and fun! I recall when we were kids, we would go to Bert & Shirley's farm for a visit. I remember Vicki and Janie and the horse riding! We LOVED that! I looked up to Vicki because she had accomplished so much...married Dean, got her nursing degree, had two healthy children AND was able to manage her diabetes, which I developed as an infant. My mom would always reference Vicki, when it came to managing my disease, that is anything but easy to maintain. Vicki did it so well! My dad, her Uncle Darrel, was telling us a story the other day: "I remember when I went to visit Bert and Shirley one year and Vicki had a horse that she wanted to show me. So, we went out to the barn, where her horse was, and she was up to her knees/boots in mud, because it had just rained. But, all I could remember, was how big she was smiling and how proud she was of that horse! I got such a kick out of it! Vicki sure loved horses!" I was lucky enough to visit with Vicki at the last Picht reunion, several years back. She was such a joy to be around. I will miss her!
