The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Stephen Kurtz can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: A FALLEN LIMB A limb has fallen from the family tree. I keep hearing a voice that says, grieve not for me. The good life I lived while I was strong. Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you. Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through. My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest. Remembering all, how I truly was blessed. Continue traditions, no matter how small. Go on with your life, don't worry about falls. I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin. Until the day comes we're together again.

Condolence: Dear Aunt Neoma, Ruth & David, Sympathies on your loss. Steve visited with Neoma to my high school graduation as well as my brother's. I first met him at both of your graduations before you left the nest and prior to scaling the Rockies. I remember him as always a pleasant and civil gentleman whom was Neoma's travelling companion and a constant in your lives. It was comforting to have a central Iowa family after we moved to Des Moines in 1975. Neoma was very proud and loved her new life she was to embark upon. Now is the time to reflect on your family as that is your legacy .
