Obituary for Shirley Mae Huber

Shirley Huber, 75, of Kamrar, died Friday, February 20, 2015 at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Elkhart Cemetery in Elkhart. A luncheon will follow the graveside service. Shirley Mae Whistler was born on December 13, 1939 in Nevada, the daughter of Earnest and Inez Ackerson Whistler. She graduated from Elkhart Schools. Shirley married to Charles Huber on February 3, 1968. The couple resided in Elkhart till 1978 when they moved to Cambridge. In 1999, they moved to Kamrar. Shirley was a homemaker. Charles preceded her in death on November 19, 2012. Shirley is survived by her children, Debbie Clawson of Davenport, Dewayne Huber of Kamrar, Donald Huber of Ellsworth, Darrell Huber of Kamrar, Elizabeth (Pat) Nelson of Des Moines, Dennis Huber and Daniel Huber, both of Kamrar; grandchildren, Keri, Lisa, Layne, Anna and Sami; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Carly and Jionni; sister, Celia Phillips of Bolckow, MO.
