Obituary for Sandra Tapper

Sandra Kaye Ingraham, daughter of Gene and Ruth Wirth Ingraham, was born May 17, 1953 at Marshalltown. She graduated from SEMCO High School in 1971. She attended Marshalltown Community College for one year and Iowa State University for one year. On August 18, 1973, she married Wayne Tapper at Laurel, Iowa. She worked as a childcare provider and had worked at K-Mart, Farm Journal, and most recently at Kenco Warehouse in Webster City. Sandy is survived by her husband, Wayne; sons and daughter-in-law, Brandon and Lisa Tapper of Webster City; Andrew Tapper of Walcott; daughter and son-in-law, Megan and Moussa Seck of Des Moines; grandchildren, Michael, MaKayla, Sheldon and Bobby Tapper; and a future Seck grandchild; mother, Ruth Ingraham of Laurel; sister and brother-in-law, Jan and Jim Anderson also of Laurel; brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred and Jackie Ingraham of Marshalltown; Roger and Nancy Ingraham of Grinnell, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Gene, and son, Derek Gene Tapper, in 1985. Sandy was a member of the Community Church of Kamrar; Mary Circle and many other activities in her church. She was also a 4-H leader for many years. Sandy was recognized by Hospice in 2004 for her years of compassionate service, where she made afghans for the Hospice Fall Raffle. She loved her hobbies which included cross stitch crocheting and baking for many individuals and organizations.
