Obituary for Ruth Caroline Toftee

Ruth Toftee, 87, of Webster City, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark Eichler officiating. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery in Fort Dodge. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. Ruth Caroline Schoenfisch, daughter of Karl and Helen Fitzner Schoenfisch, was born May 16, 1929 on a farm near Fort Dodge. She graduated from Fort Dodge High School. Ruth married Wayne Toftee on March 23, 1952 in Fort Dodge. The couple moved to Webster City in 1957. She was employed with Electrolux for 25 years, retiring in 1994. Ruth is survived by children, David Toftee of Webster City, Jim Toftee Sr. of Webster City, Dale Toftee of Webster City, John (Deb) Toftee of Byron, GA, Mark Toftee of Webster City; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; siblings, Fred (Carol) Schoenfisch, Ernie (Ruth) Schoenfisch, Ted Schoenfisch, Lillian Norbert, Vivian (John) Ludwig, Esther Ayala; and many extended family and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Wayne, daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Jim Wilson; daughter-in-law, Marsha Toftee; great-granddaughter, Madison Toftee; brother, Art Schoenfisch; and sister, Dora Cahill.
