Obituary for Ruth Johnson

Ruth Johnson, 93, of Kamrar, died Monday, March 23, 2009 at her home. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 30, 2009 at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center, with Rev. Peter Mueller officiating. Burial will follow in the Williams Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Fosters. Doris Ruth Dinsdale, daughter of Thomas and Nellie Berogan Dinsdale, was born on August 30, 1915 in Blairsburg Township of Hamilton County. She received her education and graduated from Webster City Lincoln High School. On March 9, 1939, she married Raymond Johnson at her parents home. The couple resided on their farm south of Williams. Ruth worked at M&M Restaurant which was located at the Blairsburg corners for several years. Her main vocation was a homemaker. Raymond died March 13, 1999. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, LeRoy and Gale Johnson of Kamrar; Robert and Marge Johnson of Jamaica, VT; grandchildren, Beth (Terry) Klaver of Kamrar; LeAnn Timm of Blairsburg; Raymond Johnson of Kamrar; Rory (Lynde) Johnson of Stanhope; Jeff (Andrea) Johnson of Bridgeport, CT; Julie (Ken) Olsen of Jamaica, VT; 10 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Pat Johnson of Indianapolis, IN; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Raymond, she was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters-in-law, Russell and Eva, Howard and Iona, Clare and Naomi, and Donald and Edna Dinsdale. Ruth was a member of the Williams United Methodist Church. She was also a 4-H leader for many years; a member of the Williams and Webster City Womens Club; and Helping Hand Club, also of Williams.
