Condolence: Roger Mourlam was one of the kindest, most Godly men we have ever known. He was in our lives as ‘brother-in-law' but he was in our hearts as dear friend. We have so many wonderful memories of him, it's hard to know where to begin. However, the words of a song by Janet Paschel truly offer a tribute that personifies Roger Mourlam. It is with him in mind that we copy the song lyrics here: His back is bent and weary, his voice is tired and low, His sword is worn from battle and his steps have gotten slow. But he used to walk on water, or it seemed that way to me. I know he moved some mountains and never left his knees. He faced the winds of sorrow, but his heart knew no retreat. He walked in narrow places knowing Christ knew no defeat. But now his steps turn homeward, so much closer to the prize. He's sounding kind of homesick; there's a longing in his eyes. Strike up the band. Assemble the choir. Another soldier is coming home. Another warrior hears the call he's waited for so long. He'll battle no more, he's won his wars. Make sure heaven's table has room for at least one more. Sing a welcome song; another soldier's coming home. Sing a welcome song; another soldier's coming home. Love and prayers for the family, Shirley and Hilliard

Condolence: My uncle Roger was the most gentle man I ever knew. His smile seemed to be a permanent fixture to his kind face. With his eyes he said "I love you". I look forward to seeing uncle Roger in heaven with Jesus, for I know he is smiling big now. Love you Uncle Rog!

Condolence: My thoughts and prayers are with Roger's family in their time of loss. He was a wonderfully sweet man and I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to know him. Although he was only my neighbor for a short time, it made my day just being able to see his face and talk to him when he was able to be outdoors. My children were also very fond of Roger and will miss him as well. God took him home so he no longer had to suffer and he gave us all a beautiful angel to watch over the ones he loves. Rest in peace Roger you will always be in our hearts..
