Obituary for Roger Gene Bryan

Roger Bryan, 77 of Webster City died Sunday, December 11, 2011 at Crestview Senior Living in Webster City. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2011 at United Methodist Church in Williams. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday evening at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. Roger Gene Bryan, son of Harold and LaBon Nixon Bryan, was born July 18, 1934 in Chester, IA. He received his education from Rose Grove elementary, graduating from Williams high school. He helped his father farm while attending school. On December 12, 1954, he married Janice Marie Zahner in Webster City. The couple resided in Webster City, later moving to Kamrar. Roger worked for Shager Produce, the gas station in Blairsburg and in 1962 started trucking, until his retirement. Roger is survived by his daughter; Jenny David of Lake Mills, IA, son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Wendy Bryan of Webster City; grandchildren, Heather Sheehan, Andrea Priolo, Cory Bryan, Lance David, Taylor and Grace Bryan; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Harold Dean Bryan of Palmdale, CA and Norman (Ann) Bryan of Cedar Falls; daughter-in-law, Debbie Bryan of Clear Lake; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his sons, Randy and Ivan Bryan; brothers; Gary and Duane Bryan and his parents. Roger enjoyed playing golf, gardening and liked his sweets.
