Obituary for Richard Leroy Pearsall

Richard Pearsall, 70, of Webster City, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Community Church of Kamrar with Rev. Peter Mueller officiating. Richard Leroy Pearsall, son of Lloyd and Verle Pickerell Pearsall, was born October 2, 1944 at Wahoo, NE. He graduated from Burlington High School. From 1962 to 1965, he served in the United States Army. He then worked at the Iowa Army Ammunitions Plant at Middletown, Iowa for 13 years. He moved to California in 1986 and pursued a career in carpet sales. In 2000 he returned to Iowa and worked at Electrolux until his retirement in 2010. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends during his retirement. His survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Virginia and Donald Prew and son, Rick Pearsall, all of Webster City; step-daughter, Kristi Louie of Long Beach, CA; step-sons, Richard Estlick of Burlington and Rusty Fromm of Denver, Iowa; granddaughters, Ashley (Garrett) Grimm-Brunello of Philadelphia, Jaquelyn Newman of Webster City; grandsons, Dakota and Avery Prew of Webster City; sister, Charlene Robinson of Knoxville, IL; brother, Ted Pearsall of Burlington; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Delores Hartman and Donna Kallenberger. He was a member of American Legion Post # 191 and U.A.W Local 442.
