Obituary for Nora Geneva Taylor

Geneva Taylor, 100, of Webster City, died Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Crestview Nursing and Rehabilitation. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at the Foster Chapel, with Rev. Dennis Hanson officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Nora Geneva Jameson, daughter of Walter and Annie Lande Jameson, was born May 27, 1913 in Webster County, Washington Township, south of Brushy Creek. She attended a rural school southeast of Duncombe. On February 17, 1935, she married Kenneth Maynard Taylor at Fort Dodge. The couple farmed in Fremont Township and Mr.Taylor also operated a trucking business. The couple retired in 1983 and moved to Webster City. Mr. Taylor died October 28, 1990. She moved to Crestview Apartments in 2008. She is survived by a longtime friend and caregiver, Karen Hinderks of Webster City; several great nieces, also many friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Leonard Jameson and sister, Violet Brower. She was a former member of the Town and Country Garden Club. She was a great-granddaughter of the Jameson family that had the cabin at Bonebright Museum. Arrangements were made with Foster Funeral and Cremation Center.
