Condolence From: Naomi Bailey
Condolence: Some of the things that I vividly remember about my Great, Great Aunt Naomi … N – Naughty – Aunt Naomi always trumped all rules that I set forth for my children like no more sweet treats. She'd say, “I said you can have ‘em so do it!” They'd pause and look at me for the end-all approval and she'd say, “What are you lookin' at her for? I said you could have it.” Once she'd spoken, that was the law. A – Able – Aunt Naomi was able to do whatever she set her mind to…the thing that sticks out the most was when she got her new computer and learned to navigate the internet. O – Obstinate – Wanna argue? Don't waste your breath; you aren't right! M – Magnificent – One of the magnificent things about Aunt Naomi was her uncut personality – what you see is what you get – genuine to the bone…another was that she ALWAYS had caramels in the house (one of my favorite sweets)…my sister and I would devour them every year when we visited. I – Inspirational – She inspired me by never letting things get her down and always persevering. She could set her mind to do anything and accomplish it! I know I could pull a myriad of adjectives from each letter in the alphabet and it wouldn't even do justice to what a genuine woman my aunt Naomi was. I hope that some of her qualities transfer by sheer fact that I am her only namesake…she will greatly be missed. Naomi Bailey (daughter of Margaret Aiseayew, granddaughter of Bill Appelgate, Great, Great Niece of Naomi)

Condolence: I will miss Aunt Naomi, especially at the Johnson Family Picnic. She was much loved as the last living member of her generation. She was always so full of life and enthusiasm. I extend my sympathies to her immediate family. Sue Olsen - generations of: Pearl, Ruth, Susan

Condolence: Naomi came from a family of 10 brothers and sisters. My mother, Iola, was one of her sisters and they were close in age. I remember staying with Naomi and Phillip on their farm when I was very young, having a wonderful time. Naomi was a loving aunt. Alice Mae Davidson

Condolence From: Michael Valde
Condolence: I have very fond memories of Naomi from our family picnics and several other family gatherings. Naomi was my grandmother, Pearl Valde's, sister. Naomi was always full of vim, vigor, and vitality! And always on the go! I'm sorry to hear of her passing. She was the last of the "Johnson" sisters whose families gather each year for the "Johnson Family Picnic" at Pine Lake for over 50 years now. Naomi was always the conversationalist. Mike Valde

Condolence: I remember Naomi's smile. When I worked with her at the Brown's Shoefit. She would come in on Saturday and brighten up the whole place. Bob & Phil, I know you will miss her; and so will all who knew her.

Condolence: Naomi was one of a kind, a forthright & spunky lady! I always enjoyed visiting with her & felt fortunate to know her through my husband's family. I later learned that she had been a friend of my grandmother's, too, which made her all the more special to me. May God rest and bless her soul.
