Morlene Adele Bell, 82, of Webster City, passed away Friday, January 9, 2015 at Windsor Manor. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Missionary Alliance Church, 501 3rd Street in Blairsburg with Rev. Ron Lotz, officiating. A private family burial will take place at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday, one hour prior to the service at the church. Morlene Adele Scheifele, the daughter of George and Ella (Kleemeier) Scheifele, was born November 27, 1932 in Rockwell City. She resided and received her education in Webster City. On December 28, 1952 she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Richard Lewis Bell. They made their first home in San Diego, CA while Richard served in the United States Navy. They later moved to Ames where Richard completed his schooling and Morlene was a secretary for the Iowa State Insectary. The couple moved to Milford and had their first son. After moving to Rochester, MN the family had a daughter. Their second son was born in Clear Lake. In 1974 the family moved back to Webster City to the family farm. Morlene was employed with Beam Industries as a bookkeeper and later with Wicker Jewelry in Fort Dodge until her retirement. They enjoyed traveling to Branson, MO and Mesa, AZ for vacations. Morlene is survived by her husband of 62 years, Richard of Webster City; children, Matthew Bell of Pella, Jackie (Bell) and Chip Abbott of Webster City, Aaron Bell and Emma (Othman) of Tualatin, OR; grandchildren, Emily (Abbott) and Brandon Dyvig of Ankeny, Joel Abbott of Webster City; great-grand children, Jordyn, Jayce and Avery Dyvig of Ankeny; sister, Scheif Baker of Webster City; sister-in-law, Audrey Elliott of Webster City; brother-in-law, Bob Yockey of Delaware, AR, numerous nieces and nephews. Morlene is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Eva Dodd and a brother in infancy. She was a member of the Missionary Alliance Church in Blairsburg. Morlene was involved in various clubs and activities throughout her life. Her passions included her faith, music, flowers and especially her family and friends.
