Condolence From: Julie Larson
Condolence: My husband Jeff and I were privileged to meet Marlys through our neighbor Del Porter. She was always so warm and friendly to us. I still wear a poinsettia pin that she sold to one of my nieces at one of her garage sales with Del. She helped my little niece pick it out for me and I think of her every time I wear it at Christmas time. We enjoyed greeting her at church, and I enjoyed my visits with her in her apartment. Her faith and outlook remained positive to the end and is an inspiration to me. What a sweetheart she was! God rest her soul. My sympathy to her family and other many friends. Julie Larson

Condolence: Marlys was a lady who was never without a smile and kind word. She was very helpful in many church projects, and I came to know her better through our church rummage sale. She could always be counted on to provide a friendly greeting and smile to customers. She was a valued member of FUMC. Deanna Rhiner

Condolence: Marlys was a very special lady. Many in our circle members loved to visit her because of her wonderful positive attitude. I remember many meals she and Del served at the church. Marlys and Del were a great inspiration for the church Rummage Sale acting as cashiers and greeting the shoppers. Marlys continue to cashier until her health was failing. She still set aside items for each sale and would give me a check for $50.00 every time when I picked up her items. We will be sending a memorial gift to the church in her memory.
