Obituary for Maribeh Fern Hill

Maribeh Hill, 81, of Stanhope, died Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Suzie Moore officiating. Maribeh Fern Seiser, daughter of Charles and Georgia Berogan Seiser, was born June 11, 1933 on a farm north of Highview. She attended rural schools and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1950. Maribeh attended Webster City Junior College. After college, she worked at Farmers National Bank. On April 17, 1955, she married Ross Howard Hill in Webster City. The couple moved to Stanhope and farmed south of Stanhope. Her husband preceded her in death on August 27, 1994. She had resided at Windsor Manor since September of 2014. She is survived by her children; Steven Hill of Omaha, NE, Chris (Jill) Hill of Ames and Pamela (Rob) Swenson of Williams; grandchildren, Austen Hill, Aaron Hill, Sydney Hill, Ryan Swenson, Tyler Swenson, Collin Swenson, Quentin Hill, McKenzie Hill; sister, Charlene McKee of Webster City and sister-in-law, Ruth Seiser Poland of Webster City. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Dean Seiser; brother-in-law, Harry McKee; nephews, Maynard McKee, Matthew McKee and Larry Seiser. Maribeh was a member of the Stanhope Parish. She was a former Stanhope town treasurer, served on the Stanhope Community Housing Corporation and was a member of the Stanhope Red Hat Society. She enjoyed genealogy, sewing, gardening, crafts, doing word puzzles and research on the computer. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Maribeh.
