Obituary for Margaret Sheesley

Margaret Rebecca Wade, daughter of Thomas and Minnie Pusch Wade, was born April 3, 1915 at Heitman, Iowa. She received her education in the Pella and Stanhope Public Schools. On October 29, 1935, she married Paul Eugene Sheesley in Missouri. The couple moved to Stanhope in 1936, where they owned and operated the Wade Hatchery for many years. In the late 1950's, at the same location, they operated a farm supply hardware store until their retirement in 1980. For over 50 years, they spent their leisure time at Lake Cornelia. Mr. Sheesley died September 14, 2006. She moved to Southfield Wellness Community in August of 2006. Mrs. Sheesley is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Wade and Helen Sheesley of Stanhope; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Terry Jackson of Clarion, 4 grandchildren, 7 great- grandchildren; sister-in-law, Joan McMains of Iowa City; and nephew, Jerry Wade of Omaha, NE. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Clifford Wade and sister, Thelma Wade. Margaret was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church She was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
