Obituary for Marcella F Dodge

Marcella Dodge, 81, of Webster City, died Thursday, January 21, 2010 at Southfield Wellness Community. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 2010 at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Webster City, with Father Richard Graves, celebrant. Visitation will be at the church from 1:00 p.m. to service time. Inurnment will be in the Graceland Cemetery at a later date. Marcella Florence Rohner, daughter of Frank and Irene Miller Rohner, was born September 27, 1928 at Garnavillo, Iowa. She attended the University of Northern Iowa and moved to Webster City in 1952. On December 17, 1955, she married Henry Richard (Dick) Dodge at LuVerne, MN. The couple resided in Webster City, where she taught in the Webster City school system for 24 years, retiring in 1994. Mr. Dodge died January 4, 2005. She had been a resident of Southfield Wellness Community since May of 2003. Marcie is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Lori and Tim Wilaby of Webster City; Kristin and Bill Smith of Lindley, New York; son and daughter-in-law, John and Val Dodge of Webster City; grandchildren, Johnathon (Lacey) Wilaby; Christopher and Jared Wilaby; Brandon, Brett and Jeremy Smith; Adam Dodge; 2 great-granddaughters; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marie Benksin of Guttenberg, IA; Betty and Bernie Tapke of Luxemburg, IA; Dorothy and Keith Wendel of Garnavillo; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Janice Rohner of Guttenburg; David and Pat Rohner of Garnavillo; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Herman Benksin. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd and Chapter EL P.E.O.
