Obituary for Lorraine Smith (Butrum)

Lorraine Delores Butrum daughter of Oscar and Hermina Zones Butrum was born November 16, 1939 in Brainard, Minnesota. She received her education and graduated from Webster City Lincoln High School in 1959. On February 20, 1967, she married Jack Smith in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The couple resided in Mountainview, California. Lorraine’s main vocation was in the restaurant business where she had worked for over 30 years in the Mountainview and Beathal Island, California area. Mr. Smith died in November of 1999. In May of 2008, she moved to Duncombe, Iowa. Lorraine is survived by her brother, Laverne Butrum of Duncombe; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Jerry Showers of Madison, AL; brother and sister-in-law, Calvin and Pat Butrum of Webster City; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Carl Trask of Ankeny; niece, Cherie and husband Andy Rawlins of Kansas City, MO; nephew, Vernie and wife Paula Butrum of Webster City; and niece, Cindy Butrum of Galva, IA. In addition to her husband Jack, she was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Evelyn Pauline Butrum. Lorraine was a member of the Church of Christ in Webster City and the Yacht Club in Beathal Island, CA.
