Condolences

Condolence From: Wanda Hade a friend from Gowrie
Condolence: My sincere sympathy to the family of Les. He took care of mowing my lawn for several years. I would travel for several months during the summer and I could always depend on him doing a fine job. He was very conscientious about his work. He always talked about his daughters and yes I remember him saying he couldn't get by with anything because his girls were watching. I will miss him.

Condolence From: Laurie Towne cleaning lady for Les for several ye
Condolence: Just give it a lick and promise, that is good enough. I heard these words every time I cleaned for Les. I cleaned every 2 weeks for him and he always said, now don't go chasing me with that wet mop if something isn't right and don't tell Bev that I didn't change my overalls this week! I think he didn't like to change overalls because of all the stuff he carried in his pockets! He loved to tease and be teased back and was so proud of his 5 girls. He also took great pride in his lawns he mowed and I still see him with his mowers and trailer and old green car going down the road oh, about 5 miles per hour! I would also meet him on my way to work coming home from his breakfast at Callendar of egg and coffee and he always had a big wave. Our sympathies go out to his family and friends. We will miss him. Laurie Towne and family

Condolence From: Terry L. White old neighbor and family friend
Condolence: My memories of Les are all fond ones. I too remember when he and his family moved in just 3 houses down from us. I remember thinking, oh great, 5 more girls in the neighborhood. But it all worked out just fine. The 3 younger ones liked to do boy things too. Play football, baseball, build rafts out of old telephone poles that were located in a marshy area not to far from our houses. I always wondered what Les thought about that. I spent alot of time at their house and when Les came home for lunch and supper, if I was there, I was always welcomed to join them. We moved away when I was in the 9th grade but always made a trip back to Gowrie to see the family. Les always had a that big smile and handshake for greeting you. As the years went on , the trips grew further apart. The thing that I think I am most fond of is, he never forgot my name and who I am. My deepest sympathies go out to his family and my friends. I know he will be missed. Terry White

Condolence From: Don &Rosalie Howe
Condolence: Les was always wanting to know how others were. A caring man who did business with us. HE CAME IN SAYING had to stop in and ruin your day. He had a smile and he cared about others. He always said he couldn't get by with anything because his daugthers were always keeping their eyes, on me. May the Love of God uphold and be near to each of you at this time and the days ahead.
