Obituary for Kenny W. Smith

Kenneth Wilson Smith, son of Jasper and Myrtle Jones Smith, was born January 9, 1923 at Claremont, Minnesota. He graduated from Lincoln High at Webster City in 1941. On June 5, 1943, he married Bettye Fairchild. The couple resided at Webster City. Ken was a tool and diemaker. On August 17, 1952, Mary Smith and their son, Jack Smith, both were killed in an auto accident near Cedar Falls. He retired in 1988. Ken is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Rusty Hargrave of Albert lea, MN; grandchildren, Rev. Michelle Hargrave and husband, Kelly Coile of St. Paul, MN and their sons, Zane and Theo; Melissa and James Bruesehoff of Warren, MI and their sons, Chad and David; Vickie and Paul Spyhalski of Austin, MN; sister, Eva Lavender of Webster City; nieces, Jan Andrew of Webster City and Pat Moser of Eagle Grove; nephew, Tom Smith of Webster City. In addition to his wife and son, he was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James and Eldon Smith; sisters, Billie Swenson and Madalene Smith. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses at Webster City.
