Obituary for Jennifer K. Ihle

Jenny Ihle, 50, of Webster City, died Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at her home following her courageous battle with cancer. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Trinity Lutheran Church, with Rev. Tony Ede officiating. Burial will follow in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Jennifer Kay Cheek, daughter of Richard and Frances Dunn Cheek was born on September 2, 1960 in Burlington, Iowa. She received her education from the Webster City Community schools, graduating in 1978. Jenny attended Iowa Central Community College in Webster City. On August 16, 1980, she married Rick Ihle at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Webster City. The couple resided in Webster City where Jenny worked at various restaurants in the area as manager. She also owned and operated Lena's Liquors for several years in Webster City. Jenny is survived by her husband, Rick Ihle of Webster City; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Cassie Ihle; grandchildren, Kinsley and Colter Ihle, all of Ankeny; brother, Jeff Cheek of Scottsdale, AZ; sister-in-law, Carol Cheek of Godfrey, IL; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Cindy Eubanks; and brothers, Gary and David Cheek. Jenny loved flower gardening, sitting on her porch and especially spending time with her friends and family.
