Obituary for Janice Ann Nielson

Janice A. Nielson, 71, of Webster City, died Saturday, June 4, 2011 at the Southfield Wellness Community. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with Rev. Greg Boyle officiating. Burial will follow in the Graceland Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Fosters. Janice Ann Lillegard daughter of Wendell and Anna Graham Lillegard was born on August 2, 1939 in Webster City. She received her education from the Webster City Community Schools. On January 13, 1963 she married Tommy E. Nielson in Eagle Grove. Janice had worked as a nurses aide for Rotary Ann Nursing Home in Eagle Grove as well as the Clarion Carriage Care Center and various other skilled nursing facilities in the area. She retired due to her failing health. Mr. Nielson died in March of 1993. Survivors include her son, Ryan (Ashley) Nielson of Norborne, MO; sisters, Carolyn (Ron) McCoy of Webster City; Pamela (Paul) Tew of Clarion; brother, Alan Van Hoozer of Kansas City, KS; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Tommy, she was preceded in death by her parents and sister in infancy, Connie Jo Lillegard. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the discretion of the family in memory of Janice.
