Obituary for Jana Doolittle

Jana was a wonderful gift from God given to us on July 1, 1964. Born with Down Syndrome, she was raised on the family farm, north of Webster City. She attended schools in Duncombe and Fort Dodge, graduating in 1985. She worked at Clarion for several years before moving to Hampton in 1989 where she joined the family of Access, Inc. She loved her work, play and "family" there. Jana died at her home, in Hampton, on August 24, 2009. Her favorite activity was going to the library. She loved books and had a least one with her at all times. She belonged to the Church of Christ in Webster City and thoroughly enjoyed worshiping there as often as possible. She was truly a blessing to those she met, had a hug for everyone and knew no strangers. Jana is welcomed into God's Eternal Kingdom by her dad, Keith Doolittle, grandparents, Hal and Winifred Doolittle and Art and Lucille Seamands, several aunts and uncles and three cousins. She leaves behind her mom, Mary Lou Doolittle; brother, Wendell (Eileen) Doolittle; sister, Susan Doolittle; all of Webster City; sisters, Barb (Don N.) Doolittle of Harlan, IA; Karen (Don) Jorgensen of Omaha, NE; nieces and nephews, Lindsey, Kelsey and Jared Doolittle; Derek and Jill Jorgensen; several aunts, uncles, cousins and her family at Access, Inc. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Cass Township Cemetery, with Pastor Ray Artrip officiating. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday until 10:45 a.m.. Memorials may be given to Access, Inc. or the Hampton Public Library. Write a personal tribute or light a virtual candle for the Doolittle family at www.fosterfuneralandcremation.com
