Obituary for James "J.D." Kelly

J.D. Kelly, 89, of Webster City, died Monday, January 29, 2018 at Southfield Wellness Community. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, February 2, 2018 at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with Rev. Craig Miller officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. James David Kelly, son of James and Lucy Nichols Kelly, was born on January 18, 1929 in Decatur County. He graduated from Lineville High School. On January 18, 1963, he married Marge A. Nelson at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City. JD was employed by Franklins (Electrolux) Manufacturing. He also owned and operated Kelly's Bar. He is survived by his son, Mike Kelly of Webster City; grandson, Aaron Kelly of Webster City; brother and sister-in-law, LeRoy (Buzz) and Marlene Nelson of Tooele, UT.; sister-in-law, Ramona Olmstead; brother-in-law, Ardys Bettis, all of Webster City; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marge; siblings, Ervin C. Kelly, Evalee McKee, Viola Smith, and Erma Jean Bettis. J.D. was a former member of the Moose Family Center #735, Webster City Country Club and the American Legion Post #191, all of Webster City.
