Obituary for Ernest J. Lanken

Ernest J. Lanken son of Christian and Anne Arps Lanken was born June 26, 1920 in Holstein, Germany. In September of 1929, he moved with his family to United States eventually residing in Webster City. He received his education from the Webster City Community Schools. Ernest had been a resident at Greenleaf Health Care Center since May of 1986. Ernest is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Elmer and Ida Lanken of Webster City; brother-in-law, Jens Nelson of Fort Dodge; 5 nieces and nephews; 9 great nieces and great nephews; and 1 great great nephew. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Elsie Nelson and brother, Walter Lanken.
