Obituary for Dorene "Dee" Mourlam

Dorene "Dee" Mourlam, 78, of Webster City, died Monday, December 21, 2009 at the Hamilton Hospital. Memorial services will be held Monday, December 28, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with Rev. David Doerr officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. Dorene O. West, daughter of Guilford and Lourene Holt West, was born March 9, 1931 at Webster City. She received her education in the Webster City school system, graduating in 1948. On July 24, 1949 she married Wayne Arbaugh and to this union 3 children were born. They divorced in 1954. Soon after she received her training and certification as a telephone operator. She was then employed at Northwest Bell from 1958 to1976. On June 16, 1973, she married Mervin Mourlam who added four sons to the union and they all resided in Webster City. She is survived by her husband, Mervin; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Arne Fagervik of Blairsburg; sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Marlene Arbaugh; Stephen and Shel Mourlam; Jeff and Dee Mourlam, all of Webster City; Dennis and Tina Mourlam of Madrid; Mark and Lori Mourlam of Sheldon; and were further blessed with 19 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Randy Arbaugh; mother-in-law, Helen Arbaugh; sister, Ula Mae (Judy) Ludlum; and brother, David West. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church.
