The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Dolores Kloberdanz can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

Dolores was an amazing hardworking person and my mother's best friend. I will always remember her sitting in her front yard or porch visiting with neighbors or my Mom. My fondest memory of Dolores was when she started laughing so hard that I did not think she would ever stop when she found out that I was going to Nursing School. I had cut my finger once at her house and almost passed out at the sight of the blood. I did not want to look to see how deep the cut was and the next thing I remember was Delores laughing and grabbing my hand. She spread open the tiny laceration, wrapped it with a towel and told me I was going to live. After raising 10 children nothing phased her. She made due with what she had; worked hard; didn't need fancy things. She found pleasure just in sharing a cup of coffee and conversation with her friends. Her cornmeal cookies were the best!
