Obituary for DeAnn Elizabeth Newman

DeAnn Newman, 66, of Duncombe, died Friday, October 17, 2008 at Trinity Regional Medical Center at Fort Dodge. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday at the Moose Family Center at Webster City. The visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The 3:00 p.m. service will be a sharing of memories by relatives and friends. DeAnn Elizabeth McFarland, daughter of Reinhard and Linea Holmberg McFarland, was born April 1, 1942 at Emmettsburg. She received her education in the Webster City school system. On October 20, 1984, she married Winford Dennis Newman at Webster City. The couple resided in the Webster City, Stratford and Duncombe areas. Denny died September 14, 2005 DeAnn is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Anita and Michael Philbrook, Barb and David Simpson and Patty Repass, all of Duncombe; Teresa Padgett of Mankato, MN; step-children, Frank, Samuel, Joe, Jim and Tracy Newman; 21grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Chuck and Linda McFarland of Webster City; Steve McFarland, Tony and Pam McFarland, all of Duncombe; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Kevin Reister of Lehigh; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; grandchildren, Rochelle Marie Simpson and John Andrew Simpson; and brother, David McFarland.
