Obituary for David Harris (Bud)

David ( Bud ) Harris, 69, of Webster City, died Saturday, June 20, 2009 at the Hamilton Hospital. A Gathering will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Foster Chapel and a 2:30 p.m. graveside service will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery near Dows. David Larry Harris, son of Albia and Mildred Montgomery Harris, was born June 30, 1939 on a farm east of Dows. He received his education in the Popejoy Public School. He was a truck driver and had worked in the transportation field for several years. For many years, he resided in the Dows area then moved to Webster City in 1996. Dave is survived by nieces, Cindy (Mike) Venner of Blairsburg; Sheri Atwood of Liscomb; great-niece, Rhonda (Colin) Crim of Boone; great nieces, Stephanie and Rochelle Norton; great nephew, Kyle Norton; 3 great-great-nieces; 2 great-great-nephews; special friends, Terry and Cindy Worthen of Webster City. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald Montgomery and sister, Lois Underberg; twin siblings who died in infancy.
