Obituary for Carla Sue Grooms

Carla Grooms, 43, of Webster City, died Thursday, August 7, 2014 at her home. A Gathering of Remembrance will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service on Wednesday. Carla Sue Kelly, daughter of Carl and Dolores Shaeffer Kelly, was born October 19, 1970 at Webster City. She graduated from Webster City High School in 1990. On April 6, 1990 she married Kevin Farwell in Webster City. The couple later divorced. On September 20, 1997, she married Thomas Grooms Jr. in Las Vegas. Carla had been previously employed at Leon's Pizza. Carla is survived by her husband, Tom of Webster City; daughters, Megan Farwell, Natalie Farwell and Aimee Kelly all of Webster City; two grandchildren, Wyatt Farwell and Adien Long; father, Carl Kelly of Ninilchik, AK; mother, Lori Kelly of Webster City; grandmother, Doris Kelly of Ninilchik, AK; sister, Wendy Kelly of Webster City; niece, Felicia Hurtt of Fort Dodge and nephew, Jamison Worrick of Webster City She was preceded in death by her dad, Tom Halvorson; grandparents, Sam and Dode Shaeffer; grandfather, Carl Kelly, and grandson, Brenden Farwell Worthen.
