Condolence: I so loved your mother since a very early age. Betty was one of my Sunday school teachers at First Baptist Church. She remained one of my favorite people ever since. I used to run into her at the grocery store and we would catch up. I didn't see her much after her terrible bout with shingles, I know she was left with a lot of nerve pain, but she always had a smile and a good word even while in pain. I have missed Betty, and I always will. I hope the lovely memories of such a wonderful woman help ease your sorrow. Sincerely, Kay (Foster) Ross

Condolence: Jon and family, What a wonderful lady...great personality and sense of humor. I remember visiting with Betty after, I believe, our 45th class reunion. Jon, she said you were dragging your feet about attending. She kept encouraging you and finally you gave in and arrived at the "Moose". And, guess what?? You had a great time! See, your mother was right, again! Cherish the memories.

Condolence: We grew up across the street from Betty and as a little girl I can still remember my dad telling me of Betty and her husband. And I know she kept a great yard and waved and always said hi and visited... When it was time for her to move away we were little sad missing that everyday moment of seeing mrs ringer... It's a sad time when loosing the other great neighbor mrs hooker too~ we truly grew up with wonderful people around us! My sister and I and my brother prolly have her a good view of childhood memoirs we created across the street... May god bless you and fill your hearts with peace and comfort at this time ~ Segar kids ~ cedar street ~

Condolence: My condolences, Jon, and all Betty's family. Kirk would occasionally let me know how your mother was doing when my Mom lived next door to him. I understand Betty played a pretty "mean" hand of bridge. Remembering your mother fondly.

Condolence: What a great neighbor growing up! Betty was always spoiling me with treats, great stories and even bandaged up a few scrapes from falling off my bike! Betty even covered for me when I accidentally put my sled through her basement window while sledding down the hill! I felt horrible but Betty said "don't worry accidents happen" and gave me a big hug! She was a great comfort when I would run to her house when there were bad storms and I was home alone! (hot chocolate, hugs and stories) When I was younger she told me she was my biggest fan and could watch me play basketball outside for hours! I will never forget her kind heart, beautiful smile and contagious laugh! Betty was a great friend and I will miss her dearly
