Obituary for Bernhard Ben Huisinga

Bernhard Huisinga, son of Jacob and Tillie Huisinga Huisinga was born September 15, 1917 on the family farm near Kamrar. He received his education in rural schools near Kamrar. On March 27, 1954, he married Marjorie L. Jondal in Fort Dodge. The couple resided at Webster City. Ben worked primarily as a farmer and carpenter in the Webster City - Kamrar areas. He had also worked at McCollough's, Nissen's for several years and Huisinga Peterson Construction for 14 years. Ben retired in 1979. After retirement, Ben worked as manager of the Laundromat at Webster City. Mrs. Huisinga died August 13, 1994. Ben is survived by his sons, Bernard E. and Anthony W. Huisinga, both of Webster City; brothers,Gerhard and Alfred Huisinga, both of Webster City; Henry Huisinga of Clarion; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Herman, Emery, Joe and Willie Huisinga; sisters, Bertha and Gerdie Huisinga Ben has been a member of the Calvary Baptist Church at Webster City since 1954.
