The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Arthur Philbrook can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: Doug Genschmer
Condolence: Art was a kind, gentle man that lived close to me in Webster City. I became good friends with Steve, his late son. Art would tell his stories, but never telling the details of his heroic past. I also came to know his other son Mark; both shared Art's demeanor and friendly personality. My sister Ginger babysat the Philbrook children and grew to love and respect the family. Art's work ethic and gentleness will be missed. It was a rare gift. Condolences to the family from Douglas Genschmer & Margaret Genschmer

Condolence: My sincere condolences to the Philbrook family. Although I did not know Mr. Philbrook personally, I have read about his kindnesses to others. I know your hearts are broken by his loss. May you be comforted in knowing that our Heavenly Father has both the power and the desire to restore life to those we have lost. The Bible assures us at Job 14:15, "You will call, and I will answer you. You will long for the work of your hands." We are the work of God's hand and it was never his purpose for us to experience death. So he promises to heal our hearts by means of the resurrection. (John 5:28,29) Hold on to all your happy memories until all the promises of God are fulfilled.
