Obituary for Anna Margaret Britson

Peggy Britson, 83, of Webster City, passed away May 22, 2014 at the Hospice House in Omaha, NE. Visitation will be Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Foster Funeral Home, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2014 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, with a graveside service following for immediate family. Memorial reception will be held following from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church reception hall. Anna Margaret Britson was born August 10, 1930 in Cambridge, IA, to Frederick 'Fred' and Myrtle (Nelson) Blackwood. She graduated from high school in Cambridge and married Wallace 'Wally' Eugene Britson of Radcliffe, IA on December 28, 1948. They lived in Minnesota for Wally's work prior to moving to Webster City in 1956. They worked together in growing the company known as Britson Distributing. Wally died on January 1, 1991. She loved playing cards, golfing, volunteering in her church, wintering in Diamondhead, MS; Red Hat Society, the Webster City Women's Club, and helping others. Survivors include children, Bruce (Lorna) Britson - Omaha, NE; Wesley (Gabrielle) Britson - Wichita, KS; Stanley (Jan) Britson - Onalaska, WI; Calvin (Lonnie) Britson - Pearland TX; 15 grandchildren; and very soon it will be 34 great-grandchildren and sister, Frances 'Frannie' Robbins - Des Moines, IA. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Linda (Britson) Miles; sister, Mary Ann Blackwood; brothers, John Newton and Richard 'Dick' Blackwood.
