The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Alfred Burckle can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

Dorothy, Nancy, Mary, Beth (Naden)

When we think of your dad the memories just start flowing. I remember the fun times Mom and Dad recounted during high school years and their activities in Epworth League. We all enjoyed the picnics our families shared and the Christmas Eves when you would come to our house to see the “little ones” reactions to Santa coming. Evidence of their life-long friendship were the Sunday night bridge games our parents' played that went on for years and years and years. Through our high school years your Dad was always so easy going about having our group of friends over for slumber parties, playing card games and giggling late into the night! He always seemed to enjoy whatever he did whether it was going fishing in his Naden boat, mowing his big lot on his riding mower, or riding his motorcycle (and that was not in his teen years). He was so proud of his girls and his gentle devotion to his wife, Dorothy was a wonderful witness to all of us.
