William Kackley

William “Bill” Kackley, 78, of Webster City died Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Traditions Memory Care in Newton, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 3, 2025 at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
William Gene Kackley, son of Gaylord and Maxine (Strunk) Kackley, was born November 23, 1946 in Newton, Iowa. He graduated from Webster City High School and went on to college to obtain a drafting certificate and a bachelor’s in business. He served in the United States Army National Guard. On April 22, 1968, Bill was united in marriage to Christine Lyn Hall in Fort Dodge. He was Vice President of Product Engineering for HON in Muscatine for many years. The couple retired to Webster City in 2010.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Kackley Lynn of West Des Moines; son, William “Bill” Kackley of Ackworth, Iowa; granddaughter, Kaia Jalakas; sister, Carol & Don Rollins of Webster City; brother, Kevin & Wendy Kackley of Latimer; brother-in-law, Ken Nicholson of Webster City and several nieces and nephews.
William was preceded in death by his wife, Christine in 2021; his parents and sister, Kathleen Nicholson.
