Dean Crouch, 71, of Webster City, died Sunday, December 19, 2010 at the Paula Baber Hospice House at Fort Dodge. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Foster Chapel, with family and friends sharing. Arrangements were made with the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. Walter Dean Crouch, son of Walter and Alice House Crouch, was born March 1, 1939 at Webster City. He attended Webster City schools. He served with the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1960. His tour of duty was in many ports of the world. On December 29, 1962, he married Sandra Woodmansee Srigley at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church at Webster City. Following his discharge, he was employed at Hart Carter, Van Hauen Construction, farmed for Darrell Hoover, Modern Farms, Webster City Equipment and Chamness Technology. He retired in 2001. Dean is survived by his wife, Sandy; son, Charles Srigley of Webster City; daughters and son-in-law, Becky Lester of Webster City; Kimberley Mertz of Arlington, TN; Dena and Munna Rahman of North Arlington, NJ; grandchildren, Kelsey Lester of Arlington, TN; Travis Lester of Webster City;Neoma Rahman of North Arlington, NJ; brothers, Bill Short of Garner; Jim Crouch of Stanhope; sisters, Pat Risetter and LaDonna Wilaby, both of Webster City; several nieces and nephews.
