Vicki Severe, 73, of Webster City went home to her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 19, 2026 at Crestview Nursing & Rehabilitation. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 25th at Community Church of Kamrar. Visitation will be prior to the service starting at 12:00 p.m. at the church. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with caring for Vicki and her family.

Vicki Deann Van Langen, daughter of Melvin and Arlene (Greenfield) Van Langen, was born January 7, 1953 in Story City. She graduated from Northeast Hamilton School in 1971. Vicki obtained a bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting from Buena Vista University. On May 26, 1973, Vicki was united in marriage to Steve Severe. Her working career included working for Central Iowa Stockyards, was a business partner with her husband and accountant with Quality Auto Stores, sold annuities for Horace Mann, designed and upholstered aircraft interiors, and a homemaker.

Vicki was a jack of many trades. Her passions were all things sewing, woodworking, cooking, and spending time with her family. She treasured her granddaughter above all else and took great pride in watching her grow. She also loved a good sale, regardless of what it was. Vicki loved sharing her faith in Jesus Christ and helping others come to know God’s salvation. She attended the Community Church of Kamrar.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Steve; son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Lisa Severe; granddaughter, Allie Severe of Webster City; brothers, Orin (Susan) Van Langen of Benbrook, TX, Michael (Patricia) Van Langen of Rockmart, GA; sisters-in law, Margaret Van Langen of Adel, Jeanne Severe of Webster City and six nieces and five nephews.

Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Arlene Van Langen; son, Justin Severe; brother, Dale Van Langen; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Thomas and Leona Severe and brother-in-law, Tom Severe.

The family kindly request no flowers and memorials may be directed to the family to be given to organizations that were dear to Vicki and her family.
