Velma Hollingshead

Velma Hollingshead, 83, of Webster City, died Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Van Diest Medical Center. Memorial services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, December 23, 2016 at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with Pastor Jeff Flagg officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home. Velma L. Faulkner, was born February 6, 1933 in Webster City, the daughter of Glen and Jessie Hill Faulkner. She married Wayne Hollingshead. The couple later divorced. She was employed at various places including Forrester's Dairy, Electrolux, Super 8 Motel and Clean All. Velma is survived by her children, Kim (Steve) Johnson of Webster City, Steven Hollingshead of Fort Dodge, Don (Luana) Hollingshead of Williams, Michael Hollingshead of Titonka; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and one on the way; sisters, Gleneva Ades of Ames; Mable Pond of Waterloo; half-sister, Sharon Apfel of Waterloo; and sister-in-law, Hildegard Faulkner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Garrott, Merlyn and Larry; brothers-in-law, Robert Ades and Gary Pond; and sister-in-law, Jeree Faulkner.
