Theodore Decoursey
July 31, 1943 — February 15, 2022
Theodore “Ted” DeCoursey Jr., 78, of Woolstock died Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at UnityPoint – Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge. A Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 18, 2022 at Graceland Cemetery. Foster Funeral and Cremation is entrusted with serving the family.
Theodore DeCoursey Jr., son of Theodore and Gladys (Pickard) DeCoursey Sr., was born July 31, 1943 in Webster City. He graduated from Webster City High School in 1961. He worked for many years as a mechanic for Gerber Auto and was then self-employed. Ted was a talented woodworker selling creations at flea markets and antique shows. He enjoyed fishing, photography, racing and his annual trip with Paul to the Knoxville Nationals.
He is survived by his daughter, Teresa (Dan) Huffman of Webster City; son, Paul DeCoursey of Fort Dodge; grandchildren, Dylan (Claire) Huffman, Brennen DeCoursey, Karlee DeCoursey and great-grandchildren, Ava and Liana Huffman.
In addition to his parents, Ted was preceded in death by his brother, David DeCoursey; half-brothers, Art and Charles Tippin.
