Thelma Clabaugh, 60, of Webster City, died Thursday, March 3, 2011 at her home. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 9 at the Foster Chapel, with Rev. Pete Peterson officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service. Thelma Jean Long, daughter of Georgie and Ione Bass Long, was born April 11, 1950 at Webster City. She received her education in the Webster City school system, graduating in 1968. On February 16, 1996, she married Edward Jacob Clabaugh, Jr. at Webster City. She worked at the Webster City City Park and Campgrounds as manager, Farm Journal, managed the baitshop at the City Park for several years and was a homemaker. Mr. Clabaugh died March 24, 2008. She is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Tammy Sundine of Fort Dodge; Maudy and Greg Hughes of Dayton; son, Travis Sandahl of Rockwell City; 11 grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Bernard and Esther Long of Webster City; sisters and brothers-in-law, Annabelle Fuller of Webster City; Peggy and Edd Russell of NC; Sharon and Alan Watt of Ellsworth; Sandy Gordon of Kamrar; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Angela Sandahl; grandson, Riley Sandahl; brother-in-law, Calvin Gordon and nephew, Billy Gordon. She was a member of the Webster City Moose Family Center.
