Spencer Mickelson

Spencer Mickelson, 71, of Fort Dodge formerly of Duncombe died Saturday, January 23, 2021. The family will hold services later this Spring. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with caring for the family.
Spencer Lee Mickelson, son of Howard and Lucille Jacobson Mickelson, was born September 19, 1949 in Webster City. He graduated in 1967 from Webster City High School. On September 26, 1970 Spencer was united in marriage to Vicki D. Smalley at Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City. He farmed in the Duncombe area until a tractor accident in 2004.
He is survived by his sons; John (Angie) Mickelson of Fort Madison, Jason Mickelson of Duncombe; their mother, Vicki Mickelson of Duncombe; grandsons, Zachary and Jacob Mickelson; brother, Bruce (Darlene) Mickelson of Naperville, IL and many extended family members.
Spencer is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rochelle Mickelson and brother, Bill Mickelson.
He was a member of the Washington Lutheran Church in Duncombe. Spencer enjoyed fishing, watching the Cubs and Hawkeyes play, but most importantly he loved to attend his grandson’s activities.
