Shirley Schmidt

Shirley Schmidt, 73, of Webster City, died Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Southfield Wellness Community. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Foster Chapel, with Rev. Tony Ede officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be two hours before the funeral service. Shirley LaVonne Wilson, daughter of Archie and Myrtle Spring Wilson, was born April 23, 1936 at Webster City. She received her education in the Webster City school system. On January 30, 1951, she married Fred Osborn, the couple were divorced in 1971. On November 24, 1973, she married Marvin Schmidt at the Homer United Methodist Church. She had been employed at Electrolux until 1975, Southfield wellness Community and was a homemaker. Mr. Schmidt died in 1987. Shirley is survived by son, Jack Osborn (Jane Felts) of Webster City; 5 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; Sisters, Arlene Beightol of Webster City and Verna Peckinpaugh of Middletown, IN.
