Shirley Osweiler, 90, former business woman of Webster City, died Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at the Grandview Heights Care Center at Marshalltown. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, with Rev. Stephen Meyer, celebrant. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and at the church prior to the Mass. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 6:45 p.m. Sunday followed by a Scripture service at 7:00 p.m. Shirley Adel Fish, daughter of Orrin and Nora Brown Fish, was born November 18, 1920 at Sparta, Wisconsin. She received her education in the LaCrosse, WI school system. On January 6, 1945, she married Paul Osweiler at LaCrosse. The couple resided at LaCrosse, Perry and Mt. Pleasant. They moved to Webster City in 1949. In 1955, they started Osweiler's. In 1983, they retired and continued to reside in Webster City. Mr. Osweiler died November 12, 1989. Mrs. Osweiler is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Kenneth Brown of LeGrand; sons and daughter-in-law, John and Betty Osweiler of Lancaster, PA; Don Osweiler of Minneapolis, MN; Dan Osweiler of Webster City; 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and sister, Carol Ruud of West Racine, WI. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Roger and Keith Fish and 2 grandchildren. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters, Hamilton Hospital Auxiliary, and helped with Bingo at Crestview Care Center.
