Ronald Claude, 78, of Woolstock died Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Mercy One Hospital in Des Moines following a stroke. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, April 2, 2023 from 11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at Woolstock Community Hall. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with caring for Ronnie and family.
Ronald Edward Claude, son of Karl and Patricia Miller Claude, was born July 9, 1944 in Webster City. He graduated from Webster City High School in 1962. He served in the United States National Guard from 1962 to 1965. On June 22, 1963 Ronnie was united in marriage to Judi Ann Pelz at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Webster City. He farmed his entire life in the Woolstock area. He enjoyed racing snowmobiles, golfing, fishing trips and deer hunting with the guys. He was very proud of the Appaloosa horses that he raised producing several national and world champions.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Judi of Woolstock; sons, Steve (Jessica) Claude of Woolstock, Tracy (Krista) Claude of Prescott, WI; grandchildren, Derek Claude, Dalton (Anna) Claude, Riley Jane Claude; great-granddaughter, Emily Claude; brother, Marlin (Diane) Claude of Webster City; sister, Rita (Charlie) Parden of Denver, CO and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Howard Claude.
