Roger Nerland, 66, of Williams, died Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the Rochester Methodist Hospital in Rochester, MN. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with Father Rick Dagit, officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Roger Duane Nerland was born February 15, 1950 in Webster City, the son of Harold L. and Edith G. Dagit Nerland. He graduated from Northeast Hamilton School in 1968 and attended Ellsworth Community College. He married Debra Karen Pelz on December 1, 1973 at the United Church of Christ in Blairsburg. He was a lifelong farmer on the family farm south of Williams. Roger is survived by his wife, Deb Nerland of Williams; children, Ed (Dedra) Nerland of Williams, Scott Nerland of Osage, Nikki (Eric) Knoblock of Denver; grandchildren, Haley, Cassidy, Kyleigh, Lilly, Caden, Tarek; brother, Don (Edie) Nerland of Louisville, KY; and niece, Natalie Nerland of Louisville, KY.
