Roger Beem

Roger Beem, 77, of Duncombe died Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge. A Celebration of Life with luncheon will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday, July 28, 2023 at the Duncombe Community Center. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. at Washington Township Cemetery in Duncombe. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with serving the family.
Roger Harry Beem, son of Robert and Mary (Kennedy) Beem, was born December 30, 1945 in Webster City. He graduated from Blairsburg High School in 1964. On October 1, 1966, Roger was united in marriage to Janice Flaws at Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City. He worked at various jobs – including Baber Ford, Beem’s Body Shop, Coates, Arrow Acme and Friskies, before his retirement.
He is survived by his daughter, Kristi Klein of Duncombe; son, Joe Beem of Webster City; grandchildren, Amanda (Andy) Sowle, Adam (Sara Miller) Klein, Katelyn (Brandon) Ubben; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Beverly Rickabaugh and Dorothy Allie both of Webster City and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Janice in 2013; his parents and brother, Robert Beem.
He loved the time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Roger enjoyed countless hours working on demo derby cars, fishing and hunting. You could always find him hanging out in his garage and he was the friend everyone knew would lend a hand to help at anytime.
